Privacy Policy & Terms of Service

Effective date: June 30, 2026  ·  Last updated: June 30, 2026

This page sets out the Privacy Policy and the Terms of Service that govern your use of Walego (“Walego”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). Walego is an AI-powered B2B prospecting and outreach platform that helps sales teams, founders, and agencies run personalized LinkedIn and email campaigns, qualify replies, and book meetings.

The Walego service is operated by Walego, a company registered at 60 rue François Ier, 75008 Paris, France. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to this Privacy Policy and these Terms of Service.

If you connect a Google/Gmail account to Walego, please read Section 3 — Google User Data (Gmail) carefully. It describes exactly what Gmail data we access, how we use and store it, who we share it with, and how it is deleted.

Privacy Policy

1. Data We Collect

We collect the following categories of data:

  • Account data — your name, email address, organization, and login credentials.
  • Prospecting & CRM data — contacts, companies, segments, campaigns, and the messages you send and receive through Walego.
  • Connected-account data — data from accounts you connect (e.g. LinkedIn and email/Gmail mailboxes), strictly as authorized by you and described in Section 3.
  • Usage data — campaign performance metrics, product interaction logs, and diagnostic information.
  • Billing data — subscription and payment information, processed by our payment provider.

2. How We Use Your Data

We use the data above only to:

  • Provide, operate, and secure the Walego service;
  • Power the user-facing features you choose to use (sending outreach, showing replies in your inbox, reporting metrics, and qualifying leads);
  • Provide customer support and respond to your requests;
  • Process billing and manage your subscription;
  • Comply with our legal obligations and enforce our terms.

3. Google User Data (Gmail)

If you connect a Gmail account to Walego, this section governs our access to, and use of, your Google user data. It is in addition to — and where stricter, prevails over — the rest of this Privacy Policy.

What we access

With your explicit authorization through Google’s OAuth consent screen, Walego requests the following Gmail scopes:

  • gmail.send — to send email messages (outreach and replies) as you, on your behalf.
  • gmail.readonly — to read inbound replies and bounce notifications related to your campaigns.

We do not modify, label, delete, archive, or create drafts in your Gmail mailbox. We do not request or use any Gmail access beyond the two scopes above.

How we use it

We use Gmail data only to provide and improve user-facing features that are prominent in Walego’s interface, namely:

  • Sending your outreach emails and replies;
  • Showing inbound replies in your unified Walego inbox;
  • Computing bounce-rate and reply-rate metrics for your campaigns;
  • Qualifying leads by classifying the content of replies (e.g. interested vs. not interested).

How we store and transmit it

Gmail data is stored in MongoDB Atlas, encrypted at rest by default, and is transmitted over encrypted connections (TLS) at all times.

Who we share it with (sub-processors)

We share Gmail data only with the following sub-processors, solely to deliver the features above:

  • Unipile — email account connection and message relay (sending and receiving);
  • Google Gemini API — classifies the text of replies for lead qualification;
  • MongoDB Atlas — database hosting and storage.

We make no other transfers of Gmail data to any third party.

Retention and deletion

We retain Gmail data for up to 730 days. We delete it sooner when you disconnect the mailbox, delete your account, or your organization is deleted. Deletion is enforced by automated purges and a daily cron job.

Limited Use commitments

Walego’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically, we commit that we do not:

  • use Gmail data for advertising;
  • sell or transfer Gmail data to third parties, other than to the sub-processors listed above;
  • use Gmail data to train generalized or non-personalized AI/ML models;
  • allow humans to read Gmail data, except: (a) with your explicit consent; (b) where necessary for security purposes (such as investigating abuse); (c) to comply with applicable law; or (d) where the data has been aggregated and anonymized.

Your control

You can disconnect your Gmail account at any time from your Walego settings, which stops further access and triggers deletion as described above. You can also review and revoke Walego’s access directly from your Google Account at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

4. Sub-Processors & Sharing

We rely on a limited set of trusted sub-processors to operate the service. They process data only on our instructions and only as needed to provide their service. For Gmail data specifically, the complete list of sub-processors is in Section 3.

We do not sell your personal data. We may disclose data where required by law, to enforce our agreements, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of Walego, our users, or the public.

5. Data Retention & Deletion

We retain personal data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service. Gmail data follows the specific retention and deletion rules in Section 3 (up to 730 days, with earlier deletion on mailbox disconnect, account deletion, or organization deletion, enforced by automated purges and a daily cron).

You can request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us (see Contact Us) or by deleting your account.

6. Data Security

We use technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encryption at rest (MongoDB Atlas) and encryption in transit (TLS), access controls, and ongoing monitoring. No method of transmission or storage is fully secure, but we work to protect your data and to respond promptly to any incident.

7. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location (including under the GDPR), you may have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you;
  • request correction of inaccurate data;
  • request deletion of your data;
  • request a portable copy of your data;
  • object to or restrict certain processing;
  • withdraw consent at any time;
  • lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

To exercise these rights, contact us using the details in Contact Us.

8. International Transfers

Your data may be processed in countries other than your own by us or our sub-processors. Where data is transferred internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses) as required by applicable law.

9. Cookies & Tracking

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies for essential functionality, analytics, and advertising measurement. You can manage non-essential cookies through our cookie consent banner and your browser settings.
